Pepper Sauce – JAB JAB1492

Once you’ve tasted the HEAT of the Devil, it’s hard to imagine your life without it. And just to be clear, this is not related to anything as demonic as Satan; we aren’t promoting Salman Rushdie here. We’re talking hot pepper sauce — and more specifically, Trinidadian  pepper sauce.
If you haven’t heard of Jab Jab 1492 before, it’s high time that you do. This hot pepper sauce has boomed in popularity the past couple of months, largely thanks to lovechilis.com & The House of Pierre-Davis who first introduced it to the world earlier this year. Equipped with a black devil logo, they continue to manufacture this insanely popular hot pepper sauce to meet the burgeoning demand.
Jab Jab 1492 is traditionally made from chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, molasses and salt. (Note: The House of Pierre-Davis uses Scotch Bonnet Chili Peppers.) In Trinidad this condiment is used as a food accompaniment, with practically any foodish ; there’s always seemed to be a  time and a place for hot pepper sauce. But, that doesn’t seem to be the case in this current global trend, all bets are off.
Those who have been introduced to JAB JAB 1492 in the U.S. know what happens: complete obsession. When you fall in love with JAB JAB 1492, you fall hard. You’ll eat food just for another taste of it. You’ll find yourself adding it to dishes where it doesn’t belong — and you’ll find it amazing. And while you can hopefully relate (some are known to have enjoyed JAB JAB 1492 with popcorn for a home movie snack), we feel that it’s time to take it to the next level. It’s time to start cooking with JAB JAB 1492 rather than just dousing it over whatever surface we can find.
