How Will The Queen Celebrate? With Premium Hot Sauce Of Course

London and all of Britain gears up for four days of pomp, pageantry and patriotism on Saturday to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year on the throne, “Union Jack” flags fluttering from buildings, shops and houses across the country, thousands of street parties have been planned and huge crowds are expected for the Diamond Jubilee festivities all draped in red, white and blue.

For royalists like my Mum its a chance to express their appreciation to the 86-year-old Elizabeth II (or as I like to call her ‘Liz’ in private of course) head of state for 16 Commonwealth countries from Australia and Canada to tiny Tuvalu in the Pacific Ocean, for her years of public service.

For others, like myself some extra days off work to enjoy some quality time with my significant other and the kids. Also another opportunity, just to try out some Hot Pepper Sauce concoctions, that I have been working with on with the family.

We at LoveChilis.com are privileged to learn and share the fantastic revelation that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Loves hot chilli sauce, so much so that she has gone to the extent of awarding an official Royal Warrant to our esteemed friends over at Tabasco.

A Royal Warrant is highly prized as demonstrating excellence and fine quality, Royal Warrants are marks of recognition to individuals or companies who have supplied goods or services for at least five years to HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh or HRH The Prince of Wales. This is a truly epic acknowledgement and affirmation, for the Chiliverse that we at LoveChilis.com  love so much, especially on her Jubilee.

Chili Sauce and England have historically enjoyed a very strong relationship, since pepper sauce was first imported here in 1874. During World War II, the Queen Mother had her staff search London for TABASCO® Sauce, which was in short supply due to wartime constraints. As her deputy controller of supply wrote in his memoir, My Twenty Years in Buckingham Palace, “The Queen [Mother], when she was told that there was no more TABASCO® Sauce, took the news philosophically.”

The country’s addiction to chilis and spicy foods like curry dates back to when the British ruled in India, which  began to take off in popularity. This popularity was greatly boosted by Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953, as the main dish that was served was a curry-style dish that was named “Coronation Chicken.”

People all over the world enjoy topping their food with some type of condiment. Condiments take bland, boring food and transform it into something extraordinary. People love to dip food into something savory and sweet or kick up the spice with some tangy sauce. One thing is for certain, food just wouldn’t be the same without adding condiments like hot chili sauces.

Food enthusiasts who possess a highly developed palate, and who seek out gourmet cuisine are looking for their senses to be so exceptionally engaged, so that something that can be quite one dimensional can be transformed into something experiential.

Eating is always a sensual encounter engaging our taste, smell, touch, sight, sound and our kinaesthetic sense of intuition. The most intriguing thing, is that they can all combine to create a pleasant surprise, It can give us insight by immersing you into the epicurean culinary lifestyle of a culture, via all our senses.
